 Fortunately, again I was offered an accommodation in Bangkok by Vietnamese Australian person who found me through Facebook, and will be organizing my udon event. How crazy is that! Everytime I feel touched by kindness of people, I feel like I want to let people know that this world is beautiful. By the way, there is a huge Vienamese community in Australia, and I used to go to the area to have authentic Vietnamese cuisine often.

The very first udon event in Bangkok was organized by American people living in Bangkok. I used to live in the U.S when I was a teenager, and I was strongly believing that Japanese food is so famous all around the U.S. But some of today’s guests were from Idaho, and she told me she rarely finds Japanese restaurant in her hometown…it made me feel like I need to travel more and explore U.S as well!

タイに着いて早速フェイスブック経由で谷村うどんイベントの企画したい！との有難いお言葉を頂き、更に「コンドミニアム一室空いてるからどうぞ！」と言っていただき、またしてもうどんを通じた現地の方にご好意により谷村うどんは宿泊場所を提供いただいています。こういう優しさに触れるたびに、世界は美しい！みんな聞こえるか！と叫びたくなります。ベトナム系オーストラリア人の方です。オーストラリアには大きなベトナム人コミュニティがあり、私もオーストラリア滞在時はよく本格ベトナム料理を食べにベトナムタウンに行ってましたので所縁があります。

さて、記念すべきバンコク初うどんイベントは、現地在住のアメリカ人の方が開催してくれました！中高時代をアメリカで過ごした私ですが、アイダホなど行ったことのない地域からの方々がちらほら。日本食はアメリカで結構流行ってる！と勝手に思っていた私ですが、日本食レストランも大きな街に行かないとないようで、アメリカも広いな〜と感じさせられました。
